*Since More Than Several People Have Asked:  Our offshore aquaculture site is NOT located in the Gulf of Mexico.  Our site is located on the East Coast of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Islamorada.  The oil spill was nowhere near our site and was located on the other side of the Florida Coast in the Gulf of Mexico.

Welcome to Live Rock Ranch.  All we do is Live Rock and Live Sand.  This is cured premium aquacultured live rock from deep in the Florida Keys.  Don't pay more for less quality or buy into overpriced hype.  Our live rock is better because the rock we place on our aquaculture site is better.  We did not dump a million pounds of rock at a time from a barge like some competitors.  Only the best handpicked rocks are deployed and harvested in our aquaculture operation.  Cultivated over two miles offshore in pristine waters adjacent to a natural living reef and within the boundaries of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.  Plenty of Coralline Algae.  Better than nearly any wild live rock.  Extremely porous with many nooks and crannies for fish and inverts to seek refuge in.

Almost all wild live rock is limestone and we deployed incredible weathered limestone on our offshore aquaculture lease site from the State of Florida.  Our aquacultured live rock has nearly no phosphates with much lower levels of harmful phosphates than Fiji rock.  Also, most live rock from Fiji or other international locations has been out of the water for over four weeks while being shipped to Los Angeles.  Our live rock is really alive and contains an incredible variety of sea life.  Importantly, you are not contributing to the destruction of the World's reefs by purchasing live rock from our company as we only sell our own aquacultured live rock.

Our aquaculture site contains over 500,000 pounds of live rock that have been maturing since as early as 1999.  Each rock being handpicked from the quarry by a marine aquarium professional and then transported to our site.  Our rock takes hours of back breaking work to gather by hand at the quarry before each trip out to our offshore aquaculture site.  Every time we harvest live rock from our reef we bring out a new boat load of dry rock to deploy on the site before we begin filling the boat back up with live rock.

We also offer incredible dry rock.  We only offer premium dry rock from the Florida Keys that is second to none in looks and performance.  This is the same rock we deploy on our live rock aquaculture site which is very porous limestone, commonly called Bryozoan facies of the Miami Limestone.  It is a natural calcium carbonate rock.  All rocks were formed in the ocean eons ago.  Many rocks contain visible marine fossils and shells.  Please keep in mind all rocks are unique and yours may look different from those pictured.  Rest assured all rocks are hand selected for shipment so you will be happy.  All rock is in stock and ready for immediate delivery.
